I have to say after reading the books, I thought the visual recreation of this story was absolutely stunning to see it on the big screen was glorious!

I remember when I watched this episode - I had no idea who was who, or what was going on. I rewatched it after reading the first book and I knew this was a show I'd be sticking with. Scandal, action, intrigue, just doesn't get much better than that. Once you know who everyone is, the rest of the show becomes easy to follow.

Im sure it gets better, as I'm told almost daily that it does, but the first episode didn't grab me as much as I would expect a long running serial to. It was well set, and well acted, and I will give the rest of it a chance, but so far I'm a little underwhelmed.

Someone told me to watch this, and I was not disappointed. Every aspect of the show makes me want more! I found myself awake for hours until I'd finished every episode I could get my hands on. Absolutely incredible.

A friend sat me down to watch this one evening, and boy was I in for a ride. I was a little behind on sleep, but figured I could keep up just as well. I was wrong. There is so many characters and plot to become familiar with, but it's worth it! Even if you have to, watch the early episodes twice if you have to - that's what I did.

When I first watched this episode I was honestly really confused. There was so much plot to take in at first. If you are considering watching this show be prepared to pay attention. After this episode, it takes off! Alternatively, you could just read the book(s).

Huge fan of the book series A song of ice and fire. I was expecting big things from this first episode and wasn't disappointed. It doesn't follow the book series to the Tea, but it's pretty dam close. What can you expect when they have to squeeze a 1000 page novel into 10 one hour episodes.

I heard so many good things about this show and I was really excited to watch this episode. However, I was really disappointed with this episode. It just wasn't nearly as exciting as I thought it would be.
